Lancaster's River Oaks' senior team hosted Julius Skerlan's River Oaks senior team both on their home court. Hank Harris and Lars Ericksson matched up against Joe Arcisc and Frank Strnad and won 7-5 7-5. It was suggested that Hank might need a trip to LensCrafters to help his line calls.
Court two was a lob contest between the teams of Dick Lancaster and Dave Bennhoff vs. Frank Schewlik and Steve White. It went to a 3rd set match breaker and Lancaster and Bennhoff won.
Chuck Simon and Rich Smith teamed up to play court three against the seasoned team of Tim Rickard and Frank Mucklo. Rickard and Mucklo walked away in straight sets.
