Wembley wilts from the heat of River Oaks Seniors

The Wembley team lost all three courts to the Lancaster River Oaks Seniors. Rick and Egon on court one had a blast and put away Wembley's toughest team. Rick had his best game of the season and surprised the opposition with outstanding net play and some great topspin lobs. Egon kept the ship steady and pounded his serves. On court two Jay and Ron gave the watching captain heartburn as they seemed to take a little nap during the second set. But Jay woke Ron up and they took the match in straight sets. Mack and Dave had a hard time starting and dropped the first set. They switched sides and came on strong in the second and went on to win the third set match tiebreaker. They had no idea that they were playing against a world ranked shuffleboard player on the other side. (the things you learn at the table after the match.)
